  2020

The 2020 NEMATYC Conference, scheduled for the spring,
had to be cancelled due to the dangers and government policies
around the COVID-19 pandemic. The Fall Dinner Meeting was cancelled for the same reason.

The 2020 AMATYC Annual Meeting, scheduled for November,
was cancelled for the same reasons.

  2021

The 2021 NEMATYC Conference was a virtual conference, held online.

NEMATYC was born out of the Massachusetts Mathematical Association of Two Year Colleges (MMATYC). Information was obtained from my files dating back to 1972, and from other members of the math community who have contributed testimony and documentation.

Joseph W. Menard
March, 1989

Joe Menard was retired when I invited him to be our guest at the 1992 meeting at Middlesex, where he graciously shared his History with me, both in printed and disk format. Joe's valuable document covered the period up to and including the 1989 meeting at Dean Junior College (now Dean College). I have recently taken it upon myself to bring this document up to date and find a way to share it with as many NEMATYC members and participants as possible.

If the reader has any information which would add to this document, please share it with me. This applies particularly to the early years. I would be especially interested in original meeting materials, or copies of them.

If you attended a meeting, perhaps as a walk-in, and are not recorded, please let me know. I will add your name to these records.
